We informed on the establishment of cooperation between the University of Northumbria in the UK and UWED. As a continuation of this mutual agreement, another video conference was held on April 6. It was attended by Manager of Global Academic Cooperation at the University of Northumbria Trista Huang, Head of the UoN Leadership and Strategy Center Joyce Liddle, Professor of Public Policy and Management at Newcastle Business School (NBS) John Shutt, Counselor of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in London Aliyor Tilavov and Attaché Shohruz Samadov, UWED Vice-Rector for International Relations, Professor Saidmukhtor Saidkasimov, Dean of the faculty of International economics and management Mirzoumid Khamdamov.

During the online meeting, British professors briefed their Uzbek counterparts on the situation in the economies of the countries during and after the pandemic, trade policy, and research on the process of Britain's exit from the European Union (Brexit). As the University of Northumbria specializes in research in the United Kingdom, it is interested in developing cooperation with the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, especially in this area.

According to the final results, the parties agreed to organize an online lecture this semester of professors of Northumbria University for UWED masters and researchers on the research and the educational process and international trade, the situation in the world economy for 3rd-year students. These lectures will be the start of a series of lectures by Northumbrian professors at UWED next academic year.
