Israeli Ambassador visited UWED

A meeting of the leadership of the University of world economy and diplomacy with the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Israel to Uzbekistan H.E. Zehavit Ben Hillel took place. Rector Komiljon Karimov, welcoming the distinguished guest, introduced her in detail to the structure, educational and research activities of the UWED.

The Israeli diplomat highly appreciated the open and pragmatic foreign policy of the President of Uzbekistan Sh.Mirziyoyev, which contributes to the broad development of friendly relations between the countries of Central Asia and the Middle East. The parties exchanged views on the current state of cooperation between the two countries in the field of diplomacy, international relations and education, as well as the prospects for its development.

During the meeting, the head of the Israeli diplomatic mission in detail outlined the development in her country, the university representatives, the importance of public and digital diplomacy in the context of today's globalization, important aspects of international cooperation, gender equality and the empowerment of women, the issues of deepening the essence of diplomacy among the population, especially youth.

At the meeting, tasks were identified to develop cooperation between research centers and educational institutions of Israel and UWED, organize online meetings and lectures of Israeli scientists and experts with students and researchers, familiarize young people with the experience of foreign diplomatic missions of this country.

The meeting was also attended by MASHAV Program Coordinator Yulia Olkhovskaya, Vice-Rector for International relations of the UWED Saidmukhtar Saidkasymov and employees of the International cooperation department.
