The University of world economy and diplomacy held an online meeting with the Italian school of management “SDA Bocconi”. The videoconference was attended by Leonardo Etro, Director for International development of the SDA Bocconi school of management, Otabek Akbarov, Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Italy, Vice-rector for International relations, professor of UWED Saidmukhtor Saidkasimov, other university representatives and Italian professors. The participants held negotiations between the two educational institutions on the prospects for cooperation in the fields of international trade, tourism and management, finance and business.

The school of management was established in 1971 and is the Graduate school of management at the Bocconi university in Milan (Italy). Offers executive programs, individual and MBA programs, and specialized master's courses, in line with international leading standards. Over the past period, with the pursuit of sustainable development, innovation and the introduction of a creative approach, Bocconi has strengthened its reputation not only in Italy but also abroad. It now has 275 partner universities and schools in 54 countries. The SDA Bocconi school of management operates in countries of the African continent such as Egypt, Lebanon and Angola, as well as in Bulgaria and Qatar.

 Mr. Etro noted that the school's open programs offer a wide range of courses for large, medium and small businesses, government administrations, health systems, banks and financial institutions, as well as for entrepreneurs who want to improve their knowledge and skills in the field of management. SDA Bocconi develops and implements customized programs for national and international public and private clients with a systematic and holistic approach that combines strategic goals with professional and personal growth. Each individual program is developed in stages in cooperation with clients through constructive dialogue, active perception and assessment of requirements.

The school is also watching with enthusiasm the large-scale reforms carried out in Uzbekistan over the past years. Successful implementation of new goals and objectives, designated by top management, depends on the effectiveness of the management apparatus and managers of specific enterprises.

In this regard, L.Etro expressed his readiness to explore opportunities for cooperation with interested government agencies, business schools and corporations of Uzbekistan to provide higher management education. Thus, interest was expressed in establishing mutually beneficial cooperation between the University of world economy and diplomacy and the Italian school of management “SDA Bocconi”. According to the final results, foreign experts said that within 3 weeks they would send a project to the UWED, which reflects specific areas and conditions of cooperation.
