Development of partnerships with the business community

On March 3, 2021, within the framework of cooperation with representatives of business structures and employers, the department of Economic theory of the faculty of International economics and management (IEM) organized a meeting with employees of KPMG - Evgenia Massino, KPMG HR Manager and Aziz Amanov. The meeting was attended by the dean of the faculty of IEM M.Khamdamov, head of the department of "Economic theory" L.Tashpulatova and associate professor of the department R.Djuraeva. During the meeting E.Messina spoke about the company KPMG.

KPMG is one of the Big Four audit firms, along with Deloitte, Ernst & Young and PwC, as well as one of the world's largest networks providing professional services such as audit, tax and legal advice, consulting, investment and capital markets services. KPMG is ranked among the top 100 employers in the United States, which is published every year by Fortune.

In March 2017, the representative office in Uzbekistan was re-opened, which is constantly expanding its staff with the prospect of growth. In particular, it is planned to hire about 50 new employees by the end of this year. That is why the company has an interest in graduates of UWED, who have managed to establish themselves well in the labor market. In this regard, on March 12, 2021, the company plans to hold a webinar for 4th-year students of the faculties of IEM, IL and IR in order to get more detailed information about the main areas of its activities.

It should be noted that KPMG pays a lot of attention to the development of its employees. So, the company's employees receive the ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) qualification for two or three years, they are provided with the necessary resources, numerous books, and courses for self-study. As a result, employees receive international certificates and become in demand all over the world.

During the meeting, KPMG employees and representatives of the Faculty of IEM discussed the forms of further cooperation of this company with our university, namely, the holding of the KPMG day, the participation of the company's employees in lectures and seminars within the framework of the relevant courses.
