On February 18, 2021 at 12.00 at the Department of International Relations was held a scientific seminar on the report of the second-year doctoral student Sheraliyev Nurali Sherali o'glu on "Current state and prospects of relations between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan".
The seminar was attended by the administration of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, representatives of faculty, as well as doctoral students. During the seminar, participants discussed the relevance of research, its scientific and practical significance and current findings. It was noted that this research studies the trends in the formation of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, the main directions and factors influencing the relationship. In particular, the current state and prospects of cooperation and its specific aspects are described. A systematic approach as well as comparative methods were used in the research. In addition, Uzbekistan emphasis on bilateral and multilateral relations in interstate relations is characterized by its regional character.
At the same time, the factors that allow and hinder relations between the two brotherly nations, the positions of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan on the use of water resources in Central Asia are studied and analyzed.
In particular, it is noted that the dynamic development of all spheres between the two countries is carried out through the political will of the leaders of the two countries, and both Uzbekistan and Tajikistan are solving the unresolved issues through negotiations and constructive dialogue.
The strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan is also a priority in bilateral relations and foreign policy, and the current high level of bilateral relations aimed at deepening relations is the basis for a new quality of relations. During the seminar, the sides exchanged views on further improvement of the dissertation. At the end of the event, it was announced that such seminars will be held regularly with a wider audience.
