The University of World Economy and Diplomacy hosted a “round table” dedicated to the Law “On International Treaties of the Republic of Uzbekistan”

On February 5, 2021, a “round table” was held at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED) dedicated to the second anniversary of the adoption of the Law “On International Treaties of the Republic of Uzbekistan”.

The event was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in cooperation with UWED. It was attended by employees of the Treaty-Law Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, academia, employees of Lawyers’ Training Center, as well as bachelor and master degree students of the UWED.

During the “round table”, the participants analyzed the current state of practical implementation of the provisions of the Law, exchanged views on the preparation of draft international treaties, their expert study and the procedure for conducting mandatory legal expertise at the Ministry, as well as the role of digital technologies in signing documents in a pandemic.

The event also provided information on the inventory of international treaties and the ongoing work to monitor their implementation.

At the end of the “round table”, the participants received answers to their questions about the country's legal and contractual activities.
