Korea International Cooperation Agency shows particular interest in cooperation with UWED

November 16, 2020 Prof. S. Saidkassymov, Vice-Rector for International Relations of UWED, held an on-line meeting with the director of the Korean Management Association Consultining, Mr. Kim Hee Chol, with the participation of an employee of the company, Ms. Ahn Sang A., Head of the International Cooperation Department A. Mukhitdinov , Head of the Department of Oriental Languages ​​H. Gafurova, where the issues of increasing the efficiency of the implementation of KOICA projects in Uzbekistan were thoroughly discussed.

Mr. Kim Hee Chol informed about the practice of regular evaluation of ongoing projects and programs of KOICA and a detailed analysis of the results achieved in order to further increase their effective contribution to the accelerated development of Uzbekistan. In this regard, in the UWED within the framework of the KOICA cooperation, in recent years, projects such as the creation of the Cultural Center of Korea, the technical equipment of a specialized center for simultaneous translation, the expansion of the UWED computer park with the latest examples of Korean educational equipment, as well as the constant sending of volunteer teachers of the Korean language have been successfully implemented. ...

Prof. S. Saidkasymov on behalf of the management and the entire UWED team sincerely thanked the KOICA management for this valuable contribution, which plays a big role in improving the quality of educational processes in UWED and expressed hope for further development of cooperation with the KOICA Representative Office in Uzbekistan.

For information: 11/04/2020. in on-line format, negotiations were held between the Director of the KOICA Office in Uzbekistan, Mrs. Pak Sunjin and the Rector of UWED K.Kh. Karimov. The issues of further expansion of cooperation with KOICA, activation of various educational programs for the Agency's volunteers were discussed. As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to jointly develop new curricula for UWED students on in-depth study of the Korean language, history, culture, peculiarities and traditions of the Korean people.
