Day of first year students - economists

On October 12, 2020, in the summer pavilion of the UWED, a meeting of first-year students of the Faculty of International Economics and Management with the teaching staff of the university took place. Rector of UWED Komiljon Khamidovich Karimov congratulated the first-year students on their admission to the university. He said that this is the beginning of their big, interesting and eventful life, they will master the knowledge of their chosen profession, wished them fruitful educational and creative activities.

Vice-rector for academic affairs M.T. Bakoev briefly told the first-year students about the organization of the educational process, conducting classes, about the forms of assessing knowledge and determining the level of academic performance. He also introduced the students to the credit-modular education system at UWED, noted that in the first semester, studies will take place in an online format through the Moodle distance learning system.

The students who spoke on behalf of the first year students expressed their feelings and hopes in connection with entering the UWED, said about their readiness to master deep knowledge, to become highly professional specialists in their chosen profession. During the meeting, the students were announced about their distribution into study groups and the curators assigned to them. Together with their teachers, they conducted an introductory tour of classrooms, laboratories, information resource centers, cultural and sports complexes of the university.

In the afternoon, the freshmen visited the test center and received their first distance learning skills in Moodle and in the credit-modular system.
