The University of World Economy and Diplomacy, together with the office of the OSCE project coordinator in Uzbekistan, hosted the first online model OSCE in Uzbekistan. Twenty-five participants from Uzbekistan, represented by graduates or students of University of World Economy and Diplomacy in Tashkent, took part in the “Model OSCE “online conference, which was held from 2 to 4 September 2020.

During the online conference, participants had the opportunity to learn more about the OSCE structures, improve their skills in negotiating and drafting international documents, and understand the OSCE's activities in Uzbekistan in its three programmatic dimensions. They got acquainted with the Helsinki Final act of 1975, a historic OSCE document that laid the Foundation for European peace, anchored by a joint system of multilateralism based on shared values and commitments. The OSCE model in Uzbekistan coincided with the 45th anniversary of the signing of the Helsinki Final act.
