UWED starts active cooperation with University of Le Havre-Normandy, France

In recent years, UWED, with the active assistance of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in France, has been constantly expanding its cooperation with leading research centers and universities in France. Recently, the University of Le Havre-Normandy, which is ranked 200th among the best European universities according to the Times Higher Education rating, has become the new French research and educational partner of UWED. Currently, he cooperates with more than 30 educational institutions of foreign countries. The university consists of three faculties: International Relations, Exact Sciences and Technology, and Philology and Humanities. Its system also includes the Higher Institute of Logistics and the Institute of Technology. About 9 thousand students study in it.

In the process of active contacts with the leadership of the University of Le Havre-Normandy, mutually acceptable forms of scientific and educational cooperation in the field of world economy and trade, management, international and European law, social and humanitarian sciences, exchange of experience in the implementation of new pedagogical technologies in the study and teaching of foreign languages ​​were discussed. During the last visit of the delegation of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in France to the Le Havre city, an agreement was reached on the start of cooperation and the procedure for signing a Memorandum of Understanding between the University of Le Havre-Normandy and UWED in the field of training in the field of political science, law and social sciences

It should be noted that close cooperation of UWED with scientific and educational centers in France is carried out in many areas. So, in March 2019-2020 academic year, with the assistance of our embassy in Paris, UWED was visited by the director of the prestigious French Higher School of Translators (ESIT), Mrs. Feyza El-Kasem. During the negotiations, the issues of joint cooperation in many areas of training international specialists were discussed in detail, using the rich experience of this famous university. Simultaneously prof. Feyza El-Kasem personally held a brilliant master class for UWED students on the methodology of training simultaneous interpreters and praised the level of teaching French at UWED.

In October 2019-2020 academic year, the UWED hosted another exhibition-presentation of books donated to the library by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in France. The library received a large number of socio-political and fiction literature in French. Among them are books on history, philosophy, biographies of famous scientists and public figures of France, cultural studies, as well as collections of modern French prose by authors such as Gerard Le Roux, André Marleau, Biatrice Koper-Roye and others, which have become an important help for students. studying French, history and modern life of France.
