On February 27, 2020, the UWED hosted the presentation of valuable educational and scientific literature donated by the Embassy of the Swiss Confederation in Tashkent.

Speaking to teachers and students in English and German, the Deputy Ambassador of Switzerland, Ms. Dominic Peter, revealed in detail the features and achievements of the modern educational system of her country, paying particular attention to the diverse subjects of educational literature. A large number of books on the political system, history, economics, democratic institutions and country studies in Switzerland have significantly enriched the educational and scientific information resource of the UWED.

During the meeting, Ms. D. Peter answered in detail many students' questions. Particularly active were students of the faculty of International Relations M. Sabirova, K. Davlatov, S. Tukhtaev and G. Karshiev. They demonstrated not only excellent knowledge of foreign languages, but also their knowledge of Switzerland and its role in modern international relations.

Highly appreciating the linguistic and professional knowledge of students, Ms. Dominic Peter was pleased to accept the proposal to hold a series of lectures on modern Switzerland in German, which caused a storm of joyful reaction from the grateful students, led by the coordinator of this meeting, associate professor Yusuf Ismailov.
