Report of the first stage of the competition on German language rhetoric in UWED

Since 2008, Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Tashkent organized an annual competition on German language rhetoric among the students of higher educational institutions of Uzbekistan who are learning German language. Students of UWED have been prevailing in this competition for several years.

On February 20, 2020, the first stage of this traditional competition was held in UWED. Students from all course years have participated.

Judges of the competition – teachers of “Roman-German languages” department and invited guest, native speaker Johanna Meier – highly estimated student’s level of preparation, their ability to react to questions, good background on the topics of the speeches.

Sobirova Mokhinur, Tuxtaev Sarvar, Turgunov Kamron and many others have shared their outstanding presentations. Esmira Saudkasova, 4^th year student of “international relations” faculty, became the winner of the first stage of the competition and she will represent UWED on the next stage of the competition, which will be held on March 16, 2020 in Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Tashkent.
