Scientific research in various disciplines

On February 17, 2020 the Department of the English language of UWED invited Dr.Feruz Akobirov as a guest speaker to give students of the first and third courses an overview on conducting research and PhD related issues.

Dr. Feruz Akobirov has earned his PhD in Education Technology from the university of Kansas, USA. His research area is the motivation of students in learning English and their attitude towards using educational technology in mastering their English language.

His speech at UWED included a variety of research related topics as a general research idea, a research topic, construction of dissertation, a general overview of dissertation chapters, a brief overview of doctoral studies for international students at American universities.

As a result of the meeting the students’ awareness of research has risen and they got answers to their questions during Q&A session.
