The Agency of Information and Mass Communications under the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan was the organizer of the preparation and publication of ten volumes of books on journalism. The authors of these works are leading scientists, teachers, young researchers in the field of media. The main authorship of scientific publications was represented by leading universities of the republic, which train journalists, including the Uzbek State University of World Languages, the University of Journalism and Mass Communications of Uzbekistan and others.

On February 6, 2020, in the auditorium of the Agency for Information and Mass Communications, ten volumes of books for students and workers in the field of journalism and media education were presented. They are called “Online Journalism and New Media Trends”, “Audiovisual Journalism”, “Genres and Issues of Print Media Skills”, “Media Linguistics and Editing”, “Specialized Journalism”, “Sociology and Psychology of Journalism”, etc.  Professor UMED F.I. Muminova was the head of the authors group, the editor-in-chief of the fourth volume “Media marketing and management”.

This series of books is prepared for publication by the O'ZBEKISTON Publishing and Printing Creative House. Each volume has a circulation of one thousand copies, books will be exhibited for open sale in the trading bookstores of O'ZBEKISTON Publishing House.

The heads of the Agency, deputies of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, senior officials of the publishing house, scientists, teachers, media workers, young researchers, students took part in the presentation of new publication. Speaking at the event, First Deputy Director of the Information and Mass Communications Agency Dilshod Saidjanov, deputies of the Oliy Majlis Mahmudjon Parpiev, Xurshid Dostmuxammedov, deputy director of the publishing house Mizrob Buranov and others noted the significance of this event, the scientific and theoretical base in the media was replenished with a solid contribution of scientists. This corresponds to the requirements of our state’s modern policy of raising science and education to the next level, and training professional journalists.

The speeches also indicated that the O'ZBEKISTON publishing house is currently implementing projects to publish 200 volumes of books on Uzbek literature and a 100-volume edition of Russian literature.
