Young students from Afghanistan studying at universities Kazakhstan annually celebrates the day of Afghan youth. The initiator of the celebration of this day was the student activism of the Faculty of Journalism of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. On this day, students honor the memory of journalist Said Samim Faramarz, a graduate of KazNU in 2015, who died on September 5, 2018 in Kabul during a report. Together with him, as a result of a car explosion, the shooting operator Razim Ahmadi was killed. After graduation, Said Faramars worked as a correspondent on the Kabul television channel TOLO news (TBC).

At the forum, which was held in the assembly hall of the KazNU library, students, teachers, representatives of the university leadership, diplomatic corps, public and international organizations of Almaty remembered Faramarza who died in the line of duty. A film was presented to the attention of the audience about modern Afghanistan, its socioeconomic development, cultural achievements, the organization of media work, and mutual- cooperation with Central Asian states. A photo exhibition on the creative activities of Said Farmaz was organized.

Fatima Izatullaevna Muminova, doctor of philological sciences, professor of the Department of Social and Political Sciences at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, was invited to this international event. She spoke about common historical ties, cultural traditions between the peoples of Afghanistan and Uzbekistan, that Herat in the era of the Muslim Renaissance was the center of world culture and art, where the works of the great Alisher Navoi, Kamoliddin Behzad and others were created. Professor F. Muminova regretted the tragedy and the loss of such a talented and outstanding television journalist as S. Faramars. All speakers spoke about the importance of establishing a peaceful, stable life in Afghanistan, wished Afghan students to maintain solidarity, a creative spirit in the name of progress.
