"Navruz" translated from Farsi means "New day". This is the holiday of the vernal equinox among the Persian-speaking and Turkic-speaking peoples, which marks the beginning of the new year. Navruz is one of the most ancient holidays on Earth. According to historical written records, it has been known since the 7th century BC. In September 2009, Navruz was included in the UNESCO Representative list of the intangible cultural heritage of humanity.

Students of the University of world economy and diplomacy also celebrated the national holiday Navruz in a united, cheerful mood. Students demonstrated the customs and traditions of different regions. At the end of the event, active students of the university were awarded memorable gifts and diplomas.

May this holiday bring all of us a lot of warmth, sunny days and pleasant moments.
