Draughts tournament in a new online format

On 7th of May, 2020, a draughts tournament was held among students of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, which was held by the UWED sports club in a new format. In connection with the measures aimed at preventing the spread of coronavirus infection, the responsible persons proposed the option of holding the tournament in an online format via the platform https://lidraughts.org/.
Responsible for the tournament was Dilmurodov Shukhrat. For the successful conduct of the tournament Dilmurodov Shukhratcarried out preliminary work aimed at the development of skills in online draughts. The purpose of this event was to identify students who can play draughts well, instill interest in this game, which develops logic, attention and thinking. 20 students took part in the draughts game (the list is given below).

The students took part in the competition with great responsibility and undisguised interest. After determining the number of participants, a draw was held, according to which students were divided into pairs. During all the games, Dilmuradov Shukhrat kept a protocol, on the basis of which the places of the winners were distributed and the winners of the tournament were identified.
