September 16 - International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer

On September 14, in Wyndham Tashkent Hotel, on the eve of the International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer, the State Committee for Ecology and Environmental Protection jointly with the United Nations Development Programme in Uzbekistan, within the framework of the joint project on initial implementation of accelerated hydrochlorofluorocarbons phase out in Uzbekistan, presented a mobile educational game dedicated to ozone layer. The game’s working title is "Time Machine: A Quest".

During the game presentation, speeches were delivered by Mr. Bahrom Kuchkarov, Chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Ecology and Environmental Protection and Ms. Helena Fraser, UNDP Resident Representative in Uzbekistan, Mr. Den Teng'o, Communication Officer of the Ozone Secretariat, who congratulated the creators of the game with the launch of an interesting and innovative initiative which offers both entertainment and learning at the same time.
