Discussion on the topic "Tranquility is the most valuable asset"

On September 20, 2017 the students of all academic groups participated in the discussion, dedicated to the topic "Tranquility is the most valuable asset" where they were introduced the essence and significance of the given theme. Much attention was focused on the issues of moral responsibilities of every person to protect and keep this value intact.  Along with that, the students were informed about the visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh.Mirziyoyev to the US on September 18-20 where he delivered his speech at the General Debate of the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly. In his speech, the President emphasized the importance of keeping peace, prosperity and welfare in the region.  In the course of the visit, the President had meetings with Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund Christine Lagarde as well as President of the World Bank Group Gim Yong Kim. In addition, the President held talks with the UN General Assembly leaders and participated in an expanded meeting with the Uzbek-American Biness Forum. This visit is aimed at preserving peace and harmony in Central Asia as well as striving to develop constructive ideas.
