On May 15, at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, a meeting was held with a group of teachers and undergraduates from one of the oldest American schools of international relations - The Fletcher School at Tufts University in Medford.
First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Rector of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy Sodyq Safoev told young American researchers about the dynamic development of New Uzbekistan.
The parties were actively involved in the discussion process, the purpose of which was to reveal an understanding of the foreign policy of Uzbekistan, as well as processes at the regional level, analyzing the main actors and drivers.
The participants also had the opportunity to get acquainted with the activities of the think tank - the Institute for Advanced International Studies, learn about the range of current research and potential areas for cooperation.
The importance of maintaining relationships between the UWED and the Fletcher School, creating such forms of interaction as organizing guest lectures and events to build research capacity was noted.
