The Cross-Cultural Communication Club under the Chair of English Language of UWED held a scientific conference "Communication at the Crossroads of Culture"

On 15.12.22 the Cross-Cultural Communication Club under the Chair of English Language of UWED held a scientific conference "Communication at the Crossroads of Culture". The conference was attended by students of UWED, UZSWLU, TSUL, TSIOS, and MDIS.

In the opening speech, UWED vice rector Ismailova G.S. underlined the importance of hosting such an event. She emphasized that holding conferences in English provides an excellent opportunity for students to prepare well for their future professional activities. Director of the Rector’s Office Khursana Usmanova paid attention to the significance of the reports presented at the conference program, noting the vital need to continue studying this area further. In his speech  the head of the Cross Cultural Communication Club professor B.Samadov concentrated on the peculiarities of communication in the modern world. He pointed out the importance of gaining communication skills in an intercultural environment, emphasizing the importance of this topic for almost everyone who seeks to communicate with representatives of different cultures and various professions.

The conference was organized at a high level. Twenty seven reports presented at this conference were rich in interesting observations delivered in high quality English. At the end of the conference, the head of the UWED English language department E.Borisova awarded memorable certificates to the students who presented their scientific reports.
