Huawei and the University of World Economy and Diplomacy signed a memorandum of understanding

On August 29, 2022, the University of World Economy and Diplomacy hosted a meeting with the President of Huawei for the Eurasian Region, Daniel Zhou. During the meeting with the Rector of the University, Sadyk Safayev, the parties discussed the current digital transformation in the country, including in the sphere of higher education.

CEO of Huawei Uzbekistan Chen Jiakai noted that "Huawei has been operating in Uzbekistan for more than 23 years and during this time has established a close cooperation with local universities and educational institutions in order to support talented youth and improve digital literacy. Today we are glad to have the opportunity to get acquainted with the activities of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy and discuss the possibilities of cooperation with our company. Huawei has extensive experience in implementing advanced technologies and creating intelligent campuses, which allows teaching staff and university students to apply digital solutions in the educational process."

As a result of the visit, Huawei in Uzbekistan and the University of World Economy and Diplomacy signed a memorandum of understanding. The memorandum is aimed at developing bilateral relations in the field of introducing digital technologies into educational processes, holding joint events and exchanging experience to develop the scientific and technical potential of university staff and students.
