THE ECONOMICS OF GREEN INNOVATION

Members of the UWED Ecoclub took an active part in a number of events dedicated to environmental development in Uzbekistan.  The environmental forum "Green economy and innovation as drivers of sustainable development", organized by the national movement "Yuksalish", was held on 15 June with the aim of bringing together eco-oriented NGOs and eco-activists of Uzbekistan to develop recommendations on topical environmental issues in the country, including the role of advanced technologies and alternative energy sources in achieving carbon neutrality.

Also on June 24, UWED students took part in the Youth Environmental Forum, where they met with the Deputy Chairman of the Agency for Youth Affairs Feruz Ablayarov and the UN Resident Coordinator in Uzbekistan, Roli Astkhan.  The event was also attended by members of the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan, representatives of environmental NGOs, university professors and media representatives.
