The XIV traditional scientific and practical conference “Issues of language and translation in the training of specialists for foreign policy and foreign economic relations” was organized

On May 20, this year the University of World Economy and Diplomacy hosted the XIV traditional scientific-practical conference on “Language education and translation in the training of personnel for foreign policy and foreign economic relations.” The conference was attended by professors and teachers of leading universities of the country.
The conference was opened by G.S. Ismailova, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation of UWED. She thanked the participants for their visit and stressed the importance and place of this fourteen-year-old conference. The speaker noted that the goals and objectives of the conference are in line with the current language policy of the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, as well as the relevant decrees of the President and the Cabinet of Ministers.
Then it was the turn of the keynote speakers. Speaking at the conference, Professor of UzSWLU, Ph.D. J. Yakubov, Associate Professor of UzSWLU, Ph.D. P.Nishonov, TDSHU associate professor X. Imamova, UWED professor B. Samadov spoke about the issues of foreign language education, international relations, economics and law, translation and training of translators, and the problems that need to be addressed. The speeches of the speakers were listened to with interest by the participants and they were given feedback.
The Speaker drew the attention of the participants to the issues related to the credit-module system in education, as well as the current state and prospects of language teaching, including the state language, independent education and its organization. The head of the department of Uzbek and Russian languages M.Abdurahmanova, the head of the department of Romano-Germanic languages V.Mamatkasimova, associate professors of the department of Uzbek and Russian languages Sh. Normatova and N. Sharipova made reports. These speeches provoked a lively discussion among the participants of the conference.
The conference was held in the spirit of exchange of views and friendly discussions in scientific and practical fields.
