Attention and care is a human duty

On May 7th of this year an event named «Attention and care is a human duty» dedicated to May 9 was held in hall of the actives of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy. The first and second year students took an active part in it. Veterans of the Second World War were invited to the event.

The event was opened by the vice-rector of the University for International Relations S. Saidkasimov, who thanked the veterans for their participation and noted that «The future of Uzbekistan depends on what kind of youth is being brought up today, what knowledge they are acquiring.»

A short film called «Memory» was shown to the audience. The event continued with musical performances by students of the Faculty of International Relations, who are members of the following clubs: “Theatre of emotions”, “For lovers of literature”, “Uwed youth greativity club”, “Writers Club” and dance club “Ofarin».

The students performed musical numbers, poems and a scene from Utkir Hashimov's book «The last victim of war». During the event, a video was shown to pay respect to UWED professors, who are no longer with us.

At the end of the event, the musical ensemble of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan performed songs. The event was another reminder that the peace we have now was acquired at the expense of huge sacrifices and we must cherish it.
