A round table was held at the UWED Legal Clinic on the topic: "Child Rights: National and International practice of birth registration procedure"

The discussion of the round table began with the introductory speech of the vice-rector of UWED Yusufjonov O.A. and Dean of the Faculty of International Law Yakubkhojaev U.A. Under the leadership of the Director of the Legal Clinic Ubaydullaev Z.S. the Street Law team, together with the Ombudsman for the Rights of the Child, Aliya Tuygunovna, considered the issue of national and international practice of birth registration procedure.

As already known, Street Law during 2021 dealt with the issue of placing minors in specialized institutions, thereby identifying shortcomings in the work of the judicial system, specifically related to the rights of children. Now, Street Law is starting to investigate the birth registration system, which, if not properly implemented by the competent authorities, can lead to a number of violations of the child's further rights.
