On September 16-22 Dedicated to "the 29th anniversary of the establishment of our university", an online chess competition was held between students and professors of the University of world economy and diplomacy. In total, about 100 professional and amateur chess players from three faculties, master's degree, as well as MGIMO Tashkent Branch took part in the competition.
The competition was held in two stages. In it between the boys:
- 1st place: Aliyev Alijon (MGIMO);
- 2nd place: Humoyun Bakhshullayev (XIM);
- 3rd place: Timur Alixojayev(MGIMO).
Between girls:
- 1st place: Sadriddinova Mahliyo(International law);
- 2nd place: Oybo'tayeva Nozima (International law);
- 3rd place: Ismoilova Shodiya(International law).

The championship, consisting of more than 800 games, was headed by the deputy chairman of the University sports club Dilmurodov Shuxrat, senior teacher of physical culture and sports Davlat Rakhmatov, as well as a 2nd-year student of the Faculty of "International Law" Sardor Jiyanov.
