The University and the mahalla: cooperation continues

In these days, Uzbekistan is celebrating a significant event – 30 years of Independence. In this regard, relevant events are being held throughout the country. A group of UWED employees headed by Rahima Yusuvalieva also organized meetings with representatives of the mahallas “Yalongoch” and “Azamat” of Mirzo Ulugbek district of Tashkent. These events were held in the context of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On preparation for the Thirty-Year holiday of the state independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan and its transfer at a high level”.
The head of the group, R. Yusuvaliyeva from the faculty of International law acquainted the participants with the main provisions of the interview of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the newspaper “New Uzbekistan” dated August 17 this year. The attention of the participants of the meetings was drawn to the large-scale reforms carried out in the country over the past period. It was not by chance that the emphasis was placed on the meaning and content of the concept of “New Uzbekistan” as the personification of new trends in all spheres of the country.
At the events, the teacher G. Sultonova from the faculty of International Economics and Management explained in detail the key aspects of domestic and foreign policy implemented by the country’s leadership. At the same time, the lecturer of the faculty of “International Relations” I. Uvraimov acquainted the participants of the meetings with the prospects and mechanisms for implementing the tasks outlined by the President for the near and medium-term.
During the events, the sides exchanged views on current issues on the agenda. In particular, the chairperson of the mahalla ‘Yalongoch” L. Pirnazarova told about the urgent tasks to be solved within the framework of various state programs, such as “Obod Mahalla” (Prosperous Mahalla) and etc.
Agreements were reached on maintaining active contacts in the format of bilateral cooperation between the UWED and the “Azamat” and “Yalongoch” mahallas.
