UWED students visited the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Uzbekistan

The Embassy of Turkmenistan in Uzbekistan has announced a competition for analytical articles on cooperation between the two countries during the years of independence. An award ceremony for the winners and active participants of the competition was held at the embassy yesterday.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Uzbekistan Yazguli Mammadov warmly welcomed guests and briefed them on the activities of the Embassy. Information was provided about the museum, meeting and negotiation room at the embassy, as well as the photo exhibition. During the tour, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan answered students' questions based on theoretical knowledge with examples from practice.
After that, the Ambassador turned to the main part of the event, where he expressed satisfaction with the reception of the participants of the event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Independence of Turkmenistan, the 25th anniversary of neutrality and the 2021 International Year of Peace and Confidence in Turkmenistan. He thanked the leadership of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, enthusiastic teachers and students for their activity. “In almost all reports, one can see that we are fraternal peoples, having similar cultures, languages, customs, traditions, always living in the neighborhood and maintaining good-neighborly relations,” the Ambassador said. - We continue to support each other in all endeavors both at the regional level and in the international arena. In the Turkmen-Uzbek cooperation, there is a positive trend in all spheres, relations are actively developing in the trade, economic, humanitarian areas, transport and transit relations have been established, we are closely interacting in solving water issues. In recent years, trade has been growing every year”.
In turn, Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs of the UWED Laziz Mingishov thanked the representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Turkmenistan in our country for cooperation, mutual trust and respect. In his speech, he emphasized that thanks to the efforts of the heads of the two states, relations between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan have risen to a qualitatively new level – the level of strategic partnership.
The main topics of the reports were "Turkmenistan - Homeland of Peace and Trust", "Cooperation between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan over the years of independence, new tendencies and prospects", "Characteristic features and features of the foreign policy of Neutral Turkmenistan", which were devoted, inter alia, to the development prospects Uzbek-Turkmen bilateral cooperation.
The first place was taken by the third-year student of the Faculty of International Law Ayimgul Kalyknazarova, the second - was shared by the second-year students of the Faculty of International Law Abu Tolib Giyosov and the first-year students of the Faculty of International Relations Muborak Sotkulova, the third - by the first year student of the Faculty of International Relations Dilmurod Dilmurodov, third-year students Gulhayo Dzhanieva and Tuvakmurat Tuvakov.
In addition, all students and university staff who actively participated in the competition with their articles and organization received letters of appreciation from the organizers. Such activities of the University in cooperation with the Embassy are important in acquainting students with their future activities, thereby further motivating them to study even harder.
