On April 1, Vice-Rector for International relations of the University of world economy and diplomacy Saidmukhtor Saidkasimov held an online meeting with the Director General of the Diplomatic Academy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Imran Ahmad Mirzo.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Vice-Rector of the UWED presented detailed information on the activities of the University and expressed interest in establishing an academic exchange with the Academy of the Diplomatic Service of Pakistan in topical areas of practical interest to both parties. In particular, he supported the initiatives of the Pakistani side to conduct online lectures, seminars and master classes, implement joint research projects, exchange students and participate in advanced training programs.

In turn, the Director General of the Diplomatic Academy of Pakistan, Imran Ahmad Mirzo, acknowledged that the continuation of such cooperation offline after the pandemic will contribute to the development of science in the two countries.

At the end of the meeting, it was agreed that the UWED would consider the draft cooperation agreement presented by the Pakistani side, and in the near future they would send a response letter, and the Pakistani professors would conduct online lectures informing Uzbek students about the activities of the Academy.
