IAPSS Asia is inviting you to join to the event "The vectors of modernization of Uzbekistan: regional and global dimensions".

At the end of 2019, “The Economist” recognized Uzbekistan as the country of the year. The publication made note of the reforms made by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in assisting Uzbekistan take a significant leap in development - from an old-fashioned post-soviet country to a young nation rapidly integrating into the world economy; and although Uzbekistan has a long way to go, the journey so far has been incredible and worth paying attention to.

IAPSS Asia believes the time is ripe to initiate a conversation to better analyze the reforms of the President of Uzbekistan and the changes that have since occurred in the domestic and regional context.

Why and how has such a change occurred? What sociopolitical implications does this have on domestic and regional politics? What impact does a rapidly rising Uzbekistan hold for Central Asia?

Join us as we raise these questions and more on 8th November, 2020.

The University of World Economy and Diplomacy is the main partner of this event.

Registration closes: 6th November, 2020.
