UWED visited by a delegation of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences

November 26 this year A meeting was held at the UWED with a scientific delegation from China led by a senior researcher at the Political Studies Division of the Institute of Russia, Eastern Europe and Central Asia of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (IRECA) prof. Li Yajun, Associate Professor, Department of Central Asian Studies, IRVECA, Dr. Bao Yi.

At the request of the delegation members, Vice-Rector for International Relations of the UWED, Prof. S.Saidkasymov thoroughly acquainted Chinese scientists with the process of fundamental reforms in Uzbekistan, profound changes in the spheres of social development, about the enormous efforts of the republic’s leadership to strengthen integration trends in Central Asia, strengthen regional security, and thoroughly answered numerous questions from guests.

The prospects of joint cooperation were discussed, in particular, it was about conducting on-line lectures, webinars with the participation of leading professors of IRVECA on various pressing topics of world politics and economics, organizing scientific and practical conferences, creating exchange programs for students, young researchers and other

The guests familiarized themselves with the main structural divisions of the UWED with great interest.

For reference: Academy of Social Sciences of the People's Republic of China and also AON of the People's Republic of China - the highest academic structure engaged in scientific research in the field of social and social sciences, was founded in May 1977.
