The awarding ceremony of the special courses organized by the UWED on tourism, guiding and interpreting took place at UWED

On June 7, the awarding ceremony of the special course students on tourism and guide accompanying was held at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy. These students were competitively selected from higher education institutions of Tashkent with the special order of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan to improve their knowledge on translation and interpretation, the basis of tourism, historical and cultural legacy of Uzbekistan, excursion and art. During the 4-month special course, students were trained on the tourism, guiding, translation skills and history courses. Moreover, some major foreign languages were also taught, such as English, French, German, Spanish, and several Eastern languages such as Arabic, Persian, Turkish and Indian.

In the course of training, the students visited historical cities such as Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva, Urgench, Fergana, Kokand and Margilan, where they got acquainted with the historical monuments, strengthened their knowledge and skills in tourism and guiding. In addition, students participated in various international conferences held in our country as translators and were involved in meetings with foreign delegations.
